Michael Montemurro has been writing and performing in the tri-state area for many years. His material spans all styles from deeply moving ballads to up-tempo tunes. One of his songs, "Little Things", was performed at Carnegie Hall by Esther Satterfield, the vocalist with The Chuck Mangione Group. Another one of his compositions, "Teenaged Blue-Jeaned Romeo", was chosen by the Nashville Songwriters Association International to be performed at their Summer Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee. Michael performed it in the ballroom of The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel to a crowd of NSAI members and top Nashville songwriters. The next night, he performed that same song at the world famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. Since then he has performed two more times at The Bluebird on Special Pick Writer's Nights. Michael currently performs as an acoustic singer/songwriter in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area, performing at bars/restaurants/fairs/festivals and private affairs. He includes all styles of music including Pop, Rock, Country and Rhythm and Blues, covering artists such as The Beatles, Eagles, Springsteen, Lionel Richie, Hall & Oates, Elvis, Brooks & Dunn, Lady Gaga, One Direction, Keith Urban, and many more. Michael also includes some originals as he is first and foremost, a songwriter.
